RRC NER Gorakhpur Apprentice Training Physical Standards

Selected candidates called for document verification will have to produce medical certificate in the enclosed prescribed format issued by the authorized medical officer.

Mode of Application 

Candidates have to submit their application and processing fee (Rs. 100) online through N.E. Railway website www.ner.indianrailways.gov.in. Before submitting online application, candidate must ensure that he/she is eligible under this notification.

Mode of Selection:

Selection of candidates eligible for imparting training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 will be made on the basis of merit list which will be prepared by taking average of percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculation (with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks) and ITI examination with equal weightage to both. Candidates can opt for more than one unit/location. If their merit position does not permit to be allotted the first choice, they will be allotted the subsequent choice. Candidates provisionally selected for document verification will be contacted for document verification at Gorakhpur based on the information submitted in their application. They will have to bring a copy of their online application, a medical certificate in the required format, four passport size photographs and all their original certificates and testimonials for verification. Successful candidates will start their apprenticeship training at the specified division/unit.

Training and Stipend:-

Training of the candidates will be conducted as per the standards and syllabus prescribed by the Central Apprenticeship Council, provided they register with RDAT/Kanpur. Selected candidates will be paid stipend at the prescribed rates as per existing rules/instructions during apprenticeship.

Note :-

1. Other Conditions: Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
2. Candidates called for document verification are not eligible for any travelling/dearness allowance, lodging and food expenses.
3. Apprenticeship of the candidate is subject to his registration with RDAT/Kanpur.
4. The selected candidate shall execute a contract of apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and if such candidate is a minor, his parents/guardians shall execute the prescribed contract. The apprentices shall be governed by the provisions of the Apprenticeship Rules, 1962 as amended from time to time and such rules and regulations applicable to them.
5. If an applicant discontinues the apprenticeship training and fails to fulfil the obligations as per his contract without any valid reason, he shall be liable to refund the stipend paid to him, cost of training and other costs as may be prescribed by the Railway Administration under the rules.
6. If any wrong declaration is found and the candidate is not following the rules of the Railways, his/her candidature for training is liable to be cancelled at any time.
