As per the new HR methodology for induction of Agniveer Vayu under Agneepath Scheme which aims to provide the youth of the nation an opportunity to experience the military lifestyle for a period of four years, Indian Air Force invites online applications from unmarried Indian Male and Female candidates for selection test from 18 October 2024 to join IAF as Agniveer Vayu.

Indian Air Force Education Age Details

  • Date of Birth Candidates born between 03 July 2004 and 03 January 2008 (Both dates inclusive) are eligible to Apply.

Indian Air Force Education Qualification Science Subjects :-

Candidates must have passed Intermediate/10+2/equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from a Board of Education recognized by Central, State and Union Territories with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

OR
Passed three years Diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) from a Polytechnic Institute recognized by Central, State and Union Territories with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma course.

OR
Passed two years vocational course with non-vocational subject. Passed vocational course with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Physics and Mathematics from a Board of Education recognized by Central, State and Union Territory

Other than Science subjects :-

Passed Intermediate/10+2/equivalent examination in any stream/subject from a Board of Education recognized by Central, State and Union Territory, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

OR
Passed two year vocational course with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English from a Board of Education recognized by Central, State and Union Territory

Pay, Related Benefits And Allowances.

Under this system, Agniveervayu will get a monthly Agniveer package of Rs 30,000/-, along with a pre-determined annual increment. In addition, dress, travel and risk and hardship allowances (where applicable in the Indian Air Force) will be paid for. Allowances including clothing, food, accommodation and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) will also be given, as per current rules.

Insurance, Death and Disability Compensation:- Agniveer Vayu will be provided with a non-contributory life insurance cover of Rs 48 lakh during their engagement period as Agniveer Vayu in the Indian Air Force. Agniveer Vayu will not be governed by the provisions contained in the Pension Regulations/Rules for the Indian Air Force. Agniveer Skill Certificate:- At the end of the engagement period, Agniveer Vayu will be provided with a detailed skill-set certificate highlighting the level of skills and qualifications acquired by the personnel during the engagement period.

Indian Air Force Education Online Exam.

The eligible candidates will be sent the admit cards for Phase-I exam on their registered e-mail ID 48-72 hours before the exam. Candidates have to download the admit card, take a colour printout of the same and carry it to the exam centre. The name of the city and date of the exam will be informed to the candidates in advance so that they can plan their travel. This provisional admit card can be downloaded by the candidates from the CASB web portal https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in under Candidate Login. All the candidates holding provisional admit cards will appear for the online exam at the designated/allotted centres as per their admit cards. The online exam will be objective type and the questions will be bilingual (English and Hindi) except for the English paper. Candidates must bring blue/black pen and original Aadhaar card with them for the Phase-I exam. The exam details are as follows:-

  • Science Subjects. The 60 minutes online test will consist of English, Mathematics and Physics as per the CBSE syllabus for 10+2.
  • Apart from Science subjects. The total duration of the online test will be 45 minutes and it will consist of English and Reasoning and General Awareness (RAGA) as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus.
  • Science subjects and subjects other than Science. The online test will be of total 85 minutes and will cover the following subjects: English, Physics, and Mathematics, as well as Reasoning and General Awareness as per CBSE syllabus for 10+2.

During online registration, the following documents are to be uploaded by the respective candidates:-

  • Class 10th/Matriculation passing certificate.
  • Intermediate/10+2 or equivalent mark sheet.

OR
Marks of final year of three years Engineering Diploma Programme from a Government recognized Polytechnic in the specified stream, if applying on the same basis, and Intermediate/Matriculation marks of Diploma Programme if English is not a subject.

OR
2 year vocational course mark sheet of non-vocational course with English, Physics and Maths subjects.

Higher Education Qualification/Additional Skill Certificate.

Recent passport size colour photograph (taken not before June 2024) of 10 kb to 50 kb size (frontal portrait in light background without facemask and head gear except for Sikhs). The photograph is to be taken with the candidate holding a black slate in front of his chest on which his name and date of taking the photograph is clearly written in bold letters with white chalk. Any change in the photograph like beard, headgear etc. may result in cancellation of candidature for STAR Online Examination and Phase II.

  • Image of left hand thumb impression of the candidate (size 10 KB to 50 KB).
  • Image of signature of the candidate (size 10 KB to 50 KB).

Image of signature of parent (father/mother)/guardian of the candidate (if the candidate is below 18 years of age on the date of filling up the online application).
