- 10% of the vacancies are reserved for Ex-Servicemen. However, if Ex-Servicemen candidates are found ineligible, the vacancies reserved for them will be filled by the respective category.
- The last date for accepting online application forms will be 30 days from the date of publication of detailed advertisement.

How To Apply Online :-
- Candidates are required to apply online by visiting BSF website http//rectt bsf.gov.in. No other mode will be accepted for submission of application. Online submission of application form involves the following steps:-
- One Time Registration (OTR) (Step-1)
- Filling up of online application (Step-2)
- Payment of examination fee through prescribed digital mode (Step-3)
- In Step-1, candidates should first complete the ‘One Time Registration’ (OTR) process by filling in the basic information related to them such as name, mobile number and e-mail ID. Candidates should ensure that only active/functional mobile number and e-mail ID should be used for one time registration
- On submission of the information, candidates will receive their Registration ID and Password on their given mobile number as well as e-mail address. Candidates are advised to remember the Registration ID and Password as it will be required to gain access to your profile during the entire recruitment process.
- After completing the registration part, candidates can view the active advertisement under the ‘Apply Online’ link by logging in using their credentials.
- In Step-II, candidates can apply for recruitment to the posts mentioned in the detailed advertisement in Para-01 by clicking on the ‘Apply Here’ link available next to the relevant advertisement.
- Candidates are advised to carefully read the instructions mentioned in the recruitment notification before submitting the online application form.
- After reading the instructions, candidates should carefully fill in the relevant fields of the online application form and upload all the required documents mentioned in the relevant para of the detailed advertisement and other documents as per their category, photograph, signature and thumb impression. Mandatory fields are marked with signature. Only the application of the candidate fulfilling the eligibility conditions will be accepted by the system.
- Candidates have to fill in the basic personal information. After filling in all the relevant information, candidates can see the complete preview of their application form. If the candidate wants to make any correction, press “Back”. No correction can be made in the application after clicking on the “Submit” button. Therefore, candidates are advised to press the “Submit” button only after confirming the correctness of the information filled by them.
- The digital size of Photograph- 30 to 100 KB, Signature- 20 to 50 KB, Document- 30 to 100 KB and Thumb Impression should not exceed 50 KB. Photograph and signature should be clearly visible and latest photographs should be uploaded. The format should be in jpg, jpeg, png format.
- Candidates should thoroughly check all the entries filled in the online application form before final submission. In case of any discrepancy, the respective entry may be corrected/edited. After final submission of online application, no change in any particular will be permitted.
- In Step-III, candidates are required to pay the fee (Candidates who are exempted from fee payment need not pay the fee). Fee can be paid through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card and Nearest Common Service Centre. If the fee is not paid by the candidate for that application then his/her application will not be considered.
