General Instructions/Guidelines for filling the application form online :-

1. Apply online in advance without waiting for the last date of submission of online application form.
2. Please read the instructions and guidelines carefully before starting to fill the online application form and check all the details filled in the application form before final submission to ensure correctness of information.
3. The candidate must fill all the correct details while registering for the online application form. After successful registration, login ID and password will be generated and sent to the registered mobile number (via SMS) and email-id. Keep your password and login ID safe so that you can check the status of your application any time.
4. Final submission of application form will be only after payment of fee, if applicable, through the recruitment portal.
5. The candidate will be considered only under the category for which he/she has applied. No change in category will be allowed after submission of application form.
6. After final submission of the application form, requests for change in any details in the application form will not be entertained by the Department.
7. No offline application form or copy of downloaded application form will be accepted by Chandigarh Police Department.
8. The online application system will not accept applications from candidates who do not fulfil the eligibility requirements as on the last date of recruitment.
9. If at any stage of the verification process – from submission of application form to appointment – it is found that a candidate does not fulfil any of the eligibility requirements or the information provided by him/her is false or misleading, the candidature of the candidate will be cancelled. and he/she may also face criminal charges. This is regardless of whether the candidate was benefited by providing false or inaccurate information in his or her application. Even after appointment, at any subsequent stage, if it is found that any information given by any candidate is incorrect, he/she will be subject to legal action.
10. Each candidate has to fill only one application form. If during generation of admit card it is found that duplicate application form has been filled by any candidate, only one admit card will be generated against the last filled application form. If any malafide intention is found during internal scrutiny, criminal prosecution may be initiated against any candidate submitting the application form multiple times.
11. A hard copy of the admit card in the prescribed format with latest passport size photograph pasted along with a physical copy of ID proof in original will be required on each.
12. Chandigarh Police will not be responsible for not receiving any information related to the recruitment process through e-mail or SMS for any reason.
